“Making Friends Again”
Grade 3

“Making Friends Again” Grade 3 is  a 2-page literacy lesson pack.  A positive story about kindness and social skills. Four review questions on language use.  Question 5, with guidance, is for students to write their own account of an experience they have had. Here’s the teaching opportunity!

What’s in “Making Friends Again” :

>>  Starts with a story — on the way back to the classroom after lunch…
>> The target spelling words are -ft and  -lt terminals,  that is, words that end in ft or lt, such as  left and milk. 
>> Writing tasks include: finding words in the story with the target spelling pattern.
>> Student writes a simple plan based on paragraphs.
>> Writes their own account from the plan. Free writing task.

Suitable for any teaching and learning situation, one to one or classrooms. Ideal for home education as well.
