Simple language but suited to this year level.

>> Short and accurate recount of two famous Greek stories.
>> Meanings in the word ‘Mediterranean’ with support.
>> Followed by discussion and review questions. “What would Theseus have done        without the ball of wool?! He forgot to bring his own! And Icarus should have            listened to his father! (Hoping the children work it out.)
>> Includes a map of Ancient Greece on which students write three labels by comparing with a modern map.

This work unit is suited to any teaching and learning environment, whether one to one, small group teaching or a full classroom. These stories are memorable and children will enjoy them. This unit also opens the chance for further enquiry work and reading of other myths.
