Off to the Shops is a 2-page literacy lesson pack. A trip to the shops to buy clothes — story text aims for independent reading. Red shorts, green shirt and a t-shirt that says Top Kid go into the shopping bag. Reading task focuses on these 3 colours. Loads of  sight words for Grade 1 or 2.

Follow-on writing activities : Find the word and write to complete the sentence, writing verb and adding -ed for past tense. Writing on picture of a t-shirt. Plenty to talk about. Lots to do.

Suitable for any teaching and learning situation.
